I will use this location to make comments about the things I like and do not like concerning celebrities. Most of them think that they are gods who can do no wrong. I think that is incorrect.

Bernie Mac's Funeral in Chicago and the Absence of White Celebs

Well

I could not wait to write this. There are many reasons why. The first being I have been and will always continue to be a fan of Bernie Mac. I was so sorry to hear of his passing and as a fan, I felt that such a funny man from what I could see in the last 10yrs was involved in just about every movie with A listers possible. Oh the hours I would watch movies and dvd's with him and a host of others with such enjoyment. So imagine hearing of such a wonderful person passing away and knowing all the people he worked with only to be witness to such a wonderful memorial at The House of Hope in Chicago only to see none of the A listers whom he loved working with so much. I wonder was it because it was the South Side of Chicago and somebody told Matt Damon, George Clooney, Ashton Kutcher, Lucy Liu, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, to name a few not to go to that black south side church with all those black people.

Well let me state for the record, I have always been a fan of Matt Damon. His movies were great to me. I have always loved George Clooney. His major accomplishments are well received. I have always loved Ashton Kutcher. We all loved Guess Who. I laughed so hard at some of that movie and enjoyed the dancing at the end as well. It was so enjoyable. So imagine the text messages, the Myspace pages, the Facebook pages and the Blackplanet pages containing all these videos with all these wonderful african american people who showed up for the memorial because they loved the man like Samuel L Jackson, Steve Harvey, DL Hugley, Cedric the Entertainer, Chris Rock, Don Cheadle and so many more and not a white face among them except the mayor of Chicago Mayor Daley.

This is the first time in my life that I have witness such disrespect for a beloved man. Who the hell do these white entertainers think they are. I am going to make it my job to let every african american person within ear reach know about this disrespectful act. I along with a huge group of others are just now getting all the Youtube videos, e-mails, videos, text and such concerning how wonderful it was and the very first thing everybody says was that There was nobody White at Bernie Mac's Funeral. I know all or most of these celebs are busy, but nobody is that busy that a friend dies and only his Black friends are not Too busy to attend.

I know I could not be the only person who noticed this. And for all you white actors and actresses who actually did attend but were overlooked, then if the shoe does not fit, don't worry about it. But for those of you who this does apply to, you should be ashamed of yourselves. As much technology as the world has out here, you should have known that most of the african american people would be able to tell you were not there.
