Featured Forums

Greetings fellow Adlanders!

Once again I come to you with an article on an interesting forum here at AdlandPro. The forum owner is Linda Caroll one our Advisors here in the community. She is a respected and admired member of the community and I would say one of AdlandPro's biggest assets. Linda has a wealth of knowledge that she shares with our community in her forum," "Internet & Profit Newbies". If you haven't followed her forum you're really missing out on some valuable information that can help you out with your business ventures. Now let's see how Linda came to be here at AdlandPro and what her forum is about.

1) Linda, how long have you been at AdlandPro and how is that you came to be here?

I was one of the original members of AdlandPro Digest when it was just an interactive newsletter. You'll find me in the archives as far back as the late nineties. I took a hiatus for a while and came back on the long weekend in September 2005. So I've been here for a year non-stop, but much longer if you don't mind the hiatus. : )

2) Now Linda, please tell us about your forum Internet & Profit Newbies and how you think this forum adds to our community.

John, when I discovered the Internet back in 1995, I was newly divorced, in financial dire straits and a single Mom. I had over a decade of marketing experience, but opportunities were not easy to find in the small city I lived in then. I believed the Internet could open doors that were never before open to small businesses. And maybe, it could make life better for me and my child. I'm proud to say I was in the black in the first year. By the early 2000's, my work had been featured in the New York Times, Forbes, and more. I helped other small businesses, and when they succeeded, I succeeded. When I came back to AdlandPro, a little older and wiser, I had taken more than one business to six figures per year. I thought that, perhaps, I could shine a light on the path for anyone looking to develop or grow a business online. There are so many "internet marketing" scams and work at home scams on the Internet that it's sad. Just sad. Sad, because they prey on people who are the most vulnerable. People in dire straits, as I was 11 years ago. I see so much of this right here at AdlandPro. We all see it. People naively promoting "opportunities" that they, themselves, have not made a penny with. It's a bit sad. My goal was to help others cut through the clutter. To give good advice, and teach good business practices. All those things are concepts I try to teach, live and practice in my forum. Because, in the end, a successful business is really just a dream with an action plan. "Linda"

I hope you now see why I say this lovely lady is one of our biggest assets. Please take the time today to go visit her forum and please invite her to join your list of friends if she's not on it already.

Linda, thank you so much for taking the time to do this interview and thank you for all you do at AdlandPro! We love you my friend!

GETTING TO KNOW OUR POWER MEMBERS

You may have seen those red letters "Power Member" beneath their pictures in a forum, but just who are these people? To answer that question we feature one such member each issue. Each issue of the Newsletter we will write about one member of the community that we find to be a very Interesting Power Member! In this issue we have chosen to feature Arild Haukeland

There are many caring people here at AdlandPro, but it would be hard to find any with a bigger heart than Arild Haukeland. As you can see from the following interview, Arild is, in fact a true Viking Brother who is not afraid to "walk the talk".

1) What first brought you to AdlandPro, Arild?
I found it one day last year and I wanted to go in and find out what it was all about.

2) Can you tell us a little more about yourself?

I was born in East Norway, 2nd of September 1964. My father was an officer in the army. My childhood was hard, so I got a lot of learning about how to not treat people when I was growing up. We moved all over Norway until I became 15, then we ended in the town Bergen in West Norway.

After I had grown up, I started work in a kitchen and became an Italian chef in 1984. I worked as that until 1985. I started with part-time network marketing in March 1985, and after a while I earned so good that I gave up my work and started work fulltime as a networker. Since then I have built up companies, taught companies in sales and marketing, and worked with network marketing and sales.

I have been married twice and have 5 sons and am grandfather to one little boy.

3) Could you share some thoughts about AdlandPro and the community we have here?

I very fast started to love the community, but I soon found out that I just could not be the businessman I used to be, as this looked more like a social place. I started joining systems under my new friends, but most of them were not good at all, so I lost some money and found out that I will not join such systems again.

I have always been in serious systems, so I had no idea that so many systems were so bad to join. I therefore started to work to take those systems down and beware my friends of them, as I do not like my friends to lose from them.

I was part of some serious systems I also tried to promote, but never the less I found out that many members of the community can not afford to join systems that cost money - especially those that cost some $100`s, but on the other hand give back more very fast. So I will not do too much to work with networking more here, as it takes a lot of time to work with team members and help them to success. Now I am a leader in DubLi , the next "eBay" in the world, and I know that even those who can't do network marketing will have success with this. They can have Shops where they can sell globally and be a part of a team that will grow sky high successful and globally.

My leaders tell me to stop using my time with communities and postings, as I lose money each day by doing it, but who can stop a person for loving his friends? Money is good, but there is so much that money cannot give.

4) What do you feel you add to the community with your presence here and/or why do you think you were chosen as a Power Member?
I believe that I was chosen because I had my Network Marketing School and because I care for the community and the members there. My issue is to take care, share and tell members to beware in the future too, as I believe a community so big needs some members to take care of the community and their members.

5) Is there anything else you would like to add?
A) I wish I could help more members to earn good money by doing some real and serious biz. When I joined DubLi I saw that I maybe could help a lot of friends I have all over the world, and I wish to see many friends make a lot of money in the future by joining a serious company with serious owners and investors. As shareowners and distributors we will be a part of the future - e-commerce, the new way to buy/sell - the system who grows 30-40% each year.

I hope to see many members join my team, as I know this will be the best they EVER joined and will have success with it. I know those who join this will make the best investment ever!

B) I hope many members will start thinking over what harm a little thing can do to a member, as many good friends have left the community because of bad behavior, personal messages, spamming and scams etc. I will not as a Power Member and Pillar of the community see this happen, and hope members can tell us if something is not good, instead of leaving us. I LOVE ADLAND PRO AND MY FRIENDS, and I hope AdlandPro still will be the best and biggest community ever.

Take Care and Beware

Arild

The Photograph

An oldie, but still a grabber....

After a long night of making love, the young guy rolled over, pulled out a cigarette from his jeans and searched for his lighter.

Unable to find it, he asked the girl if she had one at hand.

"There might be some matches in the top drawer," she replied.

He opened the drawer of the bedside table and found a box of matches setting neatly on top of a framed picture of another man.

Naturally, the guy began to worry.

"Is this your husband?" he inquired nervously.

"No, silly," she replied, snuggling up to him.

"Your boyfriend then?" he asked.

"No, not at all," she said, nibbling away at his ear.

"Well, who is he then?" demanded the bewildered guy.

Calmly, the girl replied, "That's me before the operation."

Community Interest

INTRODUCING ONE OF OUR INTERESTING MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY

Each issue of the Newsletter we will write about one member of the community that we find to be a very Interesting Person! In this issue we have chosen to feature Ms. Jeannie George.

Hello Jeannie! First, I would like to thank you for taking time out of your very busy schedule and honoring us with an Interview. We all know what a busy woman you are with your job and with all your duties at WOSAT! So, thanks again for obliging us!

1) Our readers would like to know more about you as the Executive Secretary of WOSAT.

Well Rick, to answer your question, I am a Network Marketer currently creating residual income from multiple streams of business opportunities. One of my goals in 2007 is to realize a six figure income. Being involved in network marketing has made me realize that it is probably the best job anyone can have. As you know there is no job security in the workforce and by owning a home based business you are your own boss and control your financial future.

As for my position as Executive Secretary of WOSAT, it has been a learning and growing experience and I have enjoyed every minute of it. The experiences I've had will be used as the learning tools they were meant to be and the many friendships that were created will always be cherished.

2) What brought you to AdlandPro and why?

I happened upon AdlandPro by chance through surfing the Internet. I was amazed at all the free tools Mr. Fiedur offered the public to join. You know the word "free" is a powerful word and probably the best attention getter on the Internet. After becoming a member I did not take advantage of these marketing tools immediately because like so many of us Internet newbies we don't allow ourselves to fully understand a system before moving on to something else that catches our eye. A few days later I began receiving invitations from various members in the community to join their friend's list, but what really got my attention was the enormous amount of information I began receiving from Bogdan about how to market your business. This really impressed me because no other program I belonged to ever offered this type of assistance.

3) What do you think about AdlandPro and the community?

I think the AdlandPro Community is the perfect place for the Internet newbie to begin a career as well as the marketing professional who would like to brush up on skills and meet terrific people. I have become acquainted with people of all nationalities from around the world. My friends are warm, receptive and have truly helped and blessed my life.

4) Now that we know more about you as a business woman, we'd like to hear more about you on a personal level...how do you like to spend your time when you are not working.

I am the mother of four children and proud grandmother of nine wonderful grandchildren. I feel truly blessed in all areas of my life because of my good health, my family and the fact that I am now beginning to accomplish goals of financial freedom. I owe these accomplishments to the ones who have crossed my path and have been instrumental in showing me the right way toward online success. My first "thank you" would have to go to Mr. Bogdan Fiedur of AdlandPro. It was through his generosity in offering free resources that helped me begin this endeavor. Sometimes when you are operating with limited funds, "free tools" really mean a lot and if used properly can be the difference between failing and succeeding.

5) Is there anything else you would like to add Jeannie?

I would like to wish everyone success in their online endeavors no matter what program/programs you are promoting. Just remember "success is a mindset and life is defining what you want and getting what you want out of it". Network marketing is a contact sport. The more contacts you make the better your chances are to instill trust and familiarity. Make a friend and you will have a customer for life. But, first and foremost always be in a state of gratitude for the blessings and the people you have in your life at this very moment.

Forum information

Dear Readers

Here is some forum posting information I would like to share with you, which could prove to be invaluable for making friends and keeping them, here at AdlandPro.

1) I, personally, and a lot of other members, like myself, do not allow blatant advertising posts in our forums. There are plenty of appropriate places to advertise on AdlandPro. You can advertise in your "About me", in your "Have and wants", in the traffic exchange, in the advert section, you can create your own web page here and there are a number of forums that invite you to advertise your opportunities.

Check out LaNell's forums, she has one specifically for business opportunities.

2) If you reply to a post in a forum that is likely to be deleted for being out of context, or rude, or blatant advertising, then your post will also be deleted because it is considered part of the thread ... so my advice ... reply to the original post ... so you don't risk being deleted in total error ... as happened to some very nice friends of mine.

3) Before you just add a thread to a forum, other than your own, it is common courtesy to ask the forum owner if you may post. It is a common courtesy and a sign of good manners and who knows .... maybe you will end up with a good ally in networking. When you post in a forum that is not yours the forums owners' contacts will not receive a notification and your readership will not be as good.

Collaboration, communication and manners are the way to network and remember that the way you behave, reflects the way you do business and people will NOT do business with people they do not like. Before you sell anything in this world YOU HAVE TO SELL YOURSELF ....

You may think you are losing one potential client but that 1 potential has 100 friends and they have 200 more and they have 2000 more again .... so before you know it ... you just lost 10,000 potential clients.

Take care and God Bless all

Happy Posting!!!

Venerina

Members

Introducing one of our new members to AdlandPro

In each Newsletter we will be picking one of our New Members and introducing them to you, our community, so that they can get more familiar with other members of the community, and vice versa. This person will be someone that has already started to be quite active in the community by posting in forums, and making new friends.

While this issue's featured new member only came to us here at AdlandPro in June of this year, he already has made many friends and has three very informative forums.

Let's give a hearty AdlandPro Welcome today to a Betsy, the love of my life for a little over thirty-five years, have five kids, six grandkids and ride a bike 40 to 50 miles per week in order to stay in shape to keep up with all of them. Trust me. It's Mission Impossible.

3) I noticed that you have several very successful forums here already. Could you tell us a bit about why you started them and who you think might benefit from visiting them?

Since so much of my thirty-five year business career has been helping folks succeed in one-person businesses, I absolutely hate to see people fail. It's a personal thing with me because I've seen the impact failure has on people's lives. It can rob a person of their confidence, their feelings of self-worth, their belief in themselves. Consistent failure hurts. I want to help people avoid the gross mistakes that I've learned to recognize through hard experience, my own and other's.

One of the first rules for success in a one-person business is to get into the right business. By talking to many, many people I found that most don't have a clear idea of how to rate or choose a business for themselves because there are so many opportunities out there - some good, some bad and some simply awful scams. This is further complicated because even a good business that fits you may not fit me. This led me to write the first forum, Achieving Success in a One-Person Business, which is a way for anyone to look at any business opportunity. The natural follow-up of this forum was a forum that illustrates a way to numerically rate various businesses in order to compare them; A Yardstick for Picking Your Business. Then I addressed the second huge problem that all face in one-person businesses and that is time usage. Thus $'s and O's was written. Matter of fact I developed this decades ago and people have used it ever since with considerable success. I'd like to give everyone who is reading this article a free gift. Go to The home page contains the updated version of all three forums. I give all your readers permission to copy that page onto their own website or for use in building their businesses.. All I ask is that they leave the copyright at the top and add, "used with permission of the author."

4) Are there any experiences you've had here at AdlandPro that you'd like to share?

I've met so many wonderful, really generous and friendly people in AdlandPro. Sure there are some folks that bend the rules but, frankly, I just ignore them. I've developed some fine, and I'm sure, long-lasting friendships, with people all 'round the world. I mentioned my historical novel, The Slavers, but I think your readers will be surprised to know that one of the cover figures is Dr. Venerina Conti. Imagine this, a man in Citrus Heights, CA makes a great connection with a lady living in Funchal, Madeira. That's seven time zones and 135 degrees of longitude apart!! This could only happen in a place like AdlandPro.

5) Is there anything else you would like to add?

I know there have been some points of contention here in AdlandPro but this is too good a venue for all of us for "us" to let a few bad examples mess it up. Respect other people's feelings and ideas; don't break the rules of plain good manners and, remember, we get more from helping others than we ever do from hurting them.

Excellent advice, Richard!

If Richard's not yet on your friends list please invite him to be your friend with a warm welcome, and don't forget to keep an eye out for newer members when visiting the forums. You never know when a new best friend will be waiting to meet you.
