And Justice For All

And Justice For All

• September 10, 2008 - FACT CHECK factcheck

Since every time a person stands up for the truth, they get labled,...

First I most protest:
NO I am not a Republican.
In fact,...
I was a third generation democrat (all 3 gerationations were forced to open our eyes after the clinton era).
Currently I am a member of the Constitution Party.

I do want to say I have found many mostly unbiased articles on your site.
And I do thank you for that,...
 Howerver,...

After many trips to your site to try to verify the validity of the two main parties, I am left with a burning question.

If factcheck is nonpartisan, Why are so many articles so liberal biased?

Perhaps certain media insiders should be replaced with non biased persons.

I do not have the time or space to challenge the abundant examples of the liberal leaning comments.

Example:
You claim obama is for  clean coal technology while McCain is for "so called"  clean coal technology.

Fact Check factcheck=
In another attack upon McCain...
You claim Chevy is making "the first practical plug-in electric car" (as you quote McCain).
Apparently that is news to Chevy.
Their site claims to making a E-Flex, just another hybred (not a practical plugin ) with an electic range of about 40 miles.

Example:
You blast Giuliani for saying McCain was a fighter pilot.
He is as correct as your claim...
The A-4 Skyhawk is NOT really a bomber.
For the record: A stands for attack, most often used for ground support... though to be fair their use is could be called fighter-bomber.

Example:
You attack statements that obama did not AUTHOR major bills.
I will ignore the lack of definition of a "major bill".

You then prove your are wrong by listing 2 bills (major?) he cosponsored.
cosponsored does NOT equal Authored.

Example:
Your disgusting use of the
 - Poisoning the well - tactic with colorul use of such words as "oily" is a traditionaly tactic of the demigod party.

Also of note....
"McCain's new ad puts another stitch in what we've called his pattern of deceit ..."

Example:
Your article admits: "Obama’s tax proposals overall would raise federal revenues (TAXES) by $627 billion" yet some how that is not a large increase.

The increase you state as higher was ...(accroding the the US Treasury dept) ..
"$8.7 billion in 1941 to $45.2 billion"
Your new math escapes me, but proves again my point that you will use creative decpetive methods to paint your own picture of fact.

Example.
While your people continually claim Obama will lower taxes for us and McCain only lowers taxes for the rich:

Acording to....
http://www.taxpolicycenter.org
McCains tax plan lowers taxes for nearly everyone,
Obamas plan raises taxes for middle class and above.
Kudos to you for pointing out ...
neither will do enough to lower taxes to a fair rate and both will leave us with a deficit.

Example.
"He(obama) stuck to the facts, except when he stretched them."
Then we read in Your article the lies obama tells.

I hope you can rein in the obamaites and return to being fair in most of your articles.
If not, you should stop the claim of nonpartisan.

Signed<
Truth Seeker.

• July 30, 2008 - McCain - Afghanistan

McCain has switched to Obama's position on more troops to Afghanistan.

Barack Obama on Saturday, July 19th, 2008 in an e-mail from Obama spokesman Bill Burton to reporters

Mostly False

FACT

Early on McCain emphasized the need for NATO countries to do their part, and for the United States and NATO forces to better manage troop levels and logistics.

On July 15, 2008, the McCain campaign released "a new comprehensive strategy for victory in Afghanistan" that applies "the tried and true principles of counterinsurgency used in the Iraq surge." And advocating sending at least three additional brigades to Afghanistan. "Our commanders on the ground say they need these troops, and thanks to the success of the surge, these forces are becoming available," states the campaign's strategy outline.

So McCain did NOT 'switch' to obamas position.

• July 30, 2008 - Obama Voted Against our Troops

Obama "voted against funding our troops."

John McCain on Friday, July 18th, 2008 in a television ad

==Also==

Obama "voted against critical resources: no to individual body armor, no to helicopters, no to ammunition, no to aircraft."

Republican Commitee on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008 in a radio ad

TRUE

, the U.S. Troop Readiness, Veterans' Care, Katrina Recovery and Iraq Accountability Appropriations Act of 2007,
YES ==== Obama voted against it
and YES ==== , included provisions for purchasing body armor, helicopters, ammunition and aircraft, and for funding veterans' medical facilities and rehabilitation programs.

Worse yet, he voted against it he says because it did not include a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq.
