Joys Of My Online Journey
• Tuesday, June 27, 2006 - Short Course On Online Common Sense
This short course in Online Common Sense is brought to you by Builder99.
Picture in your mind, if you would, two totally opposite scenarios which you have probably experienced at some time in your life. The first scenario goes something like this.
Picture yourself being contacted face to face, or by phone, or maybe even by a magazine or online ad. The item or service being promoted is something that you do not need at this time. You don't even want it and have no intention of buying it no matter how often you see the online ads.
The item itself may be quite worthwhile to a certain group of people but you are not one of them. And you wish the people doing the promotion would understand your position.
Now for the second scenario.
Picture yourself in need of certain goods or services. You know what you need and you have already decided you will purchase it online. You are a willing buyer and no one has to try and talk you into buying something you don't want. Your main concern right now is to find a quality product or service at a reasonable price.
Both scenarios deal with the possibility of customers making online purchases but there is a world of difference between the two. When we are the buyer, I think we know which scenario we would prefer. When we wish to promote goods and services as an affiliate these same two scenarios come into play.
If one affiliate program seems to fall into the first scenario and another affiliate program appears to belong to the second scenario, which one would you prefer?
Here is a link which lets you decide what to buy, when to buy, and where to buy. It is a new Shopping Portal which lists some of the biggest and best stores on the web.
